Fence Painting Melbourne
WHY DO WE NEED FENCE PAINTING ?
1. Protection

Paint is what protects most homes from the elements and it makes sense to use it for your fencing as well. A quality coating of paint (professionally applied) will give your fence a layer of protection from the wind, sun, and rain for many years, preventing premature rot. Wood does not last long in the elements on its own accord. Paint can ensure that the wood is sealed and will extend the life of your fencing and protect what likely is a major investment.
2. Low Maintenance
A painted fence needs very little in the maintenance department. There is really nothing else that you need to do. You can gently wash the fencing once in a while using a garden hose. This can take the grime and dirt off without harming the paint.
Regular cleaning can prevent wood from rotting and will make your fence last longer. If you use high-quality paint, you may not need to worry about applying a fresh coat of paint for at least five years.
3. Many Style Choices

When you decide to protect your fence with paint, you get a full spectrum of colours to use. You can take a favourite accent on your house and match your fencing to it. Maybe you can use the same colour paint on your garage doors and fence, or you can simply go for the classic white picket fence.
With paint, the possibilities for your fencing are endless. Using the right colour on your fencing can add to your home’s curb appeal and make it stand out.
OUR FENCE PAINTING PROCESS
1. Quick fix

Before we do anything else, we’ll clean up any dust, debris, or other surface attachments that aren’t actually part of the fence. We use a stiff bristle brush to remove any stubborn spots or specks of dirt that remain and ensure that the entire fence is dry and clean by the end of this process.

In case your fence is not a new one, you would discover a few uneven surface tops as well as gaps between the timber blocks. There will also be peeling and loose paints if it has been painted previously.
We will take a sanding block or sandpaper and scrap the whole fence inch-by-inch to make it smooth and ready to be painted. Also, the cracks that we’ve talked about, can be taken care of by using some wood filler. This includes cracks, nail holes, and damaged timber chips, among other things.
Then we lay drop sheets around the fence base, and clean away any low-hanging branches or other debris.
2. Start Paint Coatings

We then apply the paint of your choosing, or apply a matching paint for touch up jobs, and ensure that the paint is applied evenly and dries without bubbling or cracking.
3. Wrap Things Up

Finally, we inspect the fence painting application, review all work and touch up any areas of concern as necessary.
